Did You Ever Wonder What’s In It and Why Its Called “Myers’ Cocktail?”

The name Myers’ Cocktail comes from the late John Myers, MD.  Building on the work of Dr. Myers, the IV industry has continued to use an intravenously administered “all in one” vitamin-and-mineral formula in the treatment of a wide-range of specific conditions. A modified "Myers' Cocktail," consisting of magnesium, calcium, B vitamins, and vitamin C, has been used successfully and effectively in patients with acute asthma attacks, migraines, fatigue (including chronic fatigue syndrome), fibromyalgia, acute muscle spasm, upper respiratory tract infections, chronic sinusitis, seasonal allergic rhinitis, cardiovascular disease, and other disorders.  Developed in the 1960s, the Myers’ Cocktail helps patients suffering with chronic pain, fatigue, and migraines; however, now we know that it helps with so much more than just these chronic conditions.  Depending on the infusion rate and total IV bag volume, the Myers’ Cocktail treatment will usually take between 30-90 minutes.
